Shingo Tokihiro's Work Collection g’ŠE^SEKAIh

       Shingo Tokihiro, fashion designer, is creating stage garments for Shakespeare plays which are performed in Noh stage.  104 images are carefully selected from approximately 13,000 images which were taken during 9 years.  Shingo Tokihirofs Work Collection g’ŠE^SEKAIh is made up entirely of  Tokihiro's works appeared in various scenes: open-air, stage, picture studio, fashion show.  You can also enjoy seeing these images through additional DVD.  This work collection represents not only a catalog of his works but also his world in peace creating a beauty.

Graduated from College of Humanities and Sciences, Nihon University with a B.A.

1985 Established Fashion Office "Lyric"
1981 Began on the creative activity from designed the costumes of opera "The Magic Flute (Mozart)"
1997 Designed and produced the costumes of "Hinano-hitofushi Hinano-asobi (~1999)" for the 30th anniversary Japan National Theater opening commemorative performance
2003-2004 Performed the workshop for the stage performance overseas edition in Korea, Philippines and Malaysia.
Designed and produced the costumes of "RASHOMON" presented at the ISTANA BUDAYA Malaysia National Theater at a request of Actors Studio (Malaysia)
2004 Designed and produced the costumes of Noh Theater Shakespeare Series "King Lear" planning and producing by RYUTOPIA Niigata-city Performing Arts Center (thereafter, designed and produced the costumes of "The Winter's Tale", "Macbeth 06", "Othello" and "Macbeth 07" consecutively every year)
2005 Designed and produced the costumes of "FEMALE vol.8 Mila Anjyu Dance Concert"
Performed the workshop about stage costumes in the DIAMOND Project planning by Iwaki-city
2006 Designed and planned the costumes for Keiko Kitano (Dancer) at the Contemporary Dance Festival (Toronto, Canada)
Participated in the Festival International Shakespeare (Craiova Bucharest, Romania) with "The Winter's Tale"
Took in charge as the General Producer of the opening performance of the Arts and Crafts Exhibition in the 21st Nation Cultural Festival / Yamaguchi 2006

Shingo Tokihiro has organized the groups which were always groping for a new expression such as "Hana-hi-tsuki-za ", gTorurih and gThe Four Flowersh and also produced the performances and collaborations.

Tokihiro has a wide field of activity as not only costume designer but also journalist, fashion producer, coordinator, playwright and essayist.

Influenced by the mystery of the Orient, the allegory, the ancient religion to begin with a myth, Christianity, Buddhism, literature, and art, Tokihiro has his original view of the world representing the method of expression and the style with a strong message.

Tokihirofs previous book "Hiku-tsuki Modoru-Taiyo (Dying Moon, Rising Sun)" is published in 1998.
